About Mary

I started practicing yoga about 5 years ago after a friend convinced me to give it a try.  Initially, I felt awkward, but I stuck with it and soon noticed my practice led to improved sleep and an overall uplifted feeling.  I learned how my breath and body were connected, and as I continued with my practice, I realized how much satisfaction and joy it brought to me which led me to pursue my 200 hour yoga certification. My recent retirement, after 27 years in a high stress career field, has left me with more free time allowing the opportunity to expand my practice as it keeps me grounded, increases my self-awareness, and has a positive impact in my life.  I am excited to share the benefits and tools of yoga with others in a all levels, welcoming slow flow.  My hope is you leave class with a feeling of calm.
